*** Winter Wonderland ***

Throughout the year, I do most of the picture taking in my family.  But it's always fun for me to see other people take charge and take some photos of their own.  And my hubby did just that a few mornings ago....and I am very impressed with what he ended up with!!  He was really excited to get out into the new snow and get some photos, and I think he did a fantastic job so I wanted to share a few of those!!  Great job, honey!  :)

Santa Claus is coming to town!!

It is so amazing how fast time goes by....especially once you become a parent!  It's surreal to think that I have been a mommy for 7 weeks already!!  And it doesn't seem possible that it's already that time of year for visits to Santa,...but it is!  I was very excited to take my sweet baby girl for her first visit to Santa.  The holidays this year are so different and so much more special now that we have our little miracle.
Happy Holidays and God Bless!  :)

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Every year during this time, most people take note of the things in their life that they are thankful for...I know I definitely do.  And this year, there is something extra special that I am very thankful for....my new little family.  Becoming a mother this year has been the single most amazing experience of my entire life.  I am so blessed and endlessly grateful for my sweet baby girl and for the incredible people that helped to put her in my arms.

Time just flies by us...

I can't believe that it's already been about 3 weeks since I became a mommy.  It seemed like that day would never come and now that is has, time just keeps rushing by.  Soon my sweet little baby girl will be one month old!  And as you can imagine, I have been taking pictures of her daily.  Here are a couple that I did with her sleeping in my Grandma's noodle pot.  She passed away in January, just a few weeks before we found out that we would be expecting a baby.  But I am pretty sure my Grandma would have loved these and I know she would have loved her sweet little great granddaughter.

A Baby Girl is Born!! ~ Indy Newborn Portraits

Our sweet little miracle baby finally arrived on Sunday, October 24th!  She was absolutely perfect from the minute she was born!  She is definitely the most beautiful baby in the world.  And yes, I might be a little biased, but see for yourself!!  She's a doll!

Clayton's Senior Session

Yesterday was officially my last Senior session for a couple of months since I'll be taking a little time off to spend with our baby (which will hopefully be arriving any minute now).  And I couldn't have asked for a more fun family to hang out with!  Clayton was a little unsure of how things would go at first, but it didn't take him long to settle in and just go with it.  We did have a little rain to deal with on and off, but for the most part our biggest challenge was the quickly fading daylight.  And even with those things, we still managed to get fantastic shots!!  It was a fun evening session just talking and laughing with Clayton and his parents.  :)

Kelsey's Senior Session

Today's session was a lot of fun!!  It was a beautiful fall day...lots of colorful leaves & sunshine.  And then there was Kelsey...such a spunky gal!!  She's tiny and gorgeous of course!  She brought along her friend Erica (former Senior of mine) so I knew we were going to have plenty of fun!  And I was completely right!  Erica was great at making sure Kelsey was giving us the REAL smiles...and Kelsey didn't need much help posing.  She was pretty great at that all on her own!

Our Little Miracle..

So, today was officially the single most special portrait session I have had thus far...our very own maternity portraits!  Today I happily photographed the *amazing* surrogate that is carrying our tiny little blessing.  She is the most selfless, generous person I have ever met...truly an angel.  We are just two weeks away from our due date now, so we marked the ending of this incredible journey with maternity portraits as unique as our situation.  I am overwhelmed with pure joy at the thought of finally holding my sweet baby close and just taking in every single little detail from that fuzzy little head to those teeny weeny toes.

Here is a Sneak Peek from our session!

Samantha's Senior Session

Fall is definitely upon us!  Today's session with Samantha was a blast and it was made even more enjoyable by the brisk, cool fall breeze.  There is just something about the way the sun and sky look in the fall months that is unmatched in beauty the rest of the year (in my opinion, of course).  Samantha did a great job of relaxing and just enjoying the session, taking full advantage of the gorgeous sunset we had.  And her portraits definitely show that!  She was great at doing all different poses and I am adding her to my list of Seniors whose closets I'd like to raid!!  Great sense of style!!

Hines Family Session

If every family session I have could be like this one, then I would be one happy camper!  We had perfect weather, a beautiful sky, and a fun, easy-going family!  This was not my first "Hines" experience though, since I did Senior portraits for the youngest of the Hines crew.  However, this was my first portrait experience with the whole gang and it was so fun!!  Aside from just being a good looking bunch, they are so open to anything!!  They even let me go urban with their photos!  And I loved having mama Hines sharing all her great pose ideas!  Take a look!

Andrea's Senior Session

After a couple weeks of nothing but editing, I was really looking forward to today's session with Andrea!  And my day away from my desk was great!  I was so happy that Andrea was fun, relaxed, and easy to work with!  She has gorgeous eyes and hair that makes me jealous!  This job may not be good for my self-esteem but I love it anyway!!  lol  :)  Look at this girl go!

~ Baby Hayden ~ Indianapolis area Newborn Photography

This little gal is a fighter for sure!  Born almost 3 months early, she had lots of work to do in order to grow and get strong enough to go home.  After many weeks in the NICU, she is finally at home now with her VERY happy mommy and daddy.  This little gal is special to me because her mommy and I have something very unique in common.  We both have angels in our lives that were willing to be surrogate mothers for us, carrying our babies for us since we weren't able to do it ourselves.  It's an amazing journey for sure and not many people can relate, so it's nice to know someone else that has been there.  Many wishes for Hayden's continued good health and happiness!

~ Lucy Rose ~ Indianapolis area Newborn Photography

I got the chance to photograph my newest little family member yesterday.  Sweet little "Lucy Rose" belongs to my sister-in-law, Katy, and her husband Aaron.  And I have to say, they did GOOD!  Lucy is absolutely beautiful at just 5 days old here!!  And she was such a good little subject during her photo shoot!   Congrats Katy & Aaron on your beautiful blessing!

Rachel's Senior Session

Okay, so I know I'm always bragging about what gorgeous gals I get to work with....but seriously, it's TRUE!!!  Rachel is stunning to the point that it's just ridiculous!!  I mean, even in the wind she looks perfect.  I actually kinda hate her!  LOL  And as hard as it was to walk around with her all day looking so gorgeous, it was a fantastic session because the girl is physically incapable of looking less than beautiful in a photo!!  Oh and did I mentioned that it was almost 100 degrees outside and this gal didn't complain even once???  Can someone tell me where these gals keep coming from??  So needless to say, my job was sooooo easy!!   :)
